More school districts in Colorado switching to 4-day school weeks

More than half of the school districts in Colorado have chosen to switch to a 4-day school week, according to the Colorado School Finance Project.

COSFP gathered the information from the CDE and the school districts to produce a map that indicates 79 out of 178 districts within the state have moved to the 4-day school weeks.

The areas in white represent the districts who are still on the normal five-day schedule.

According to Denver media outlets, school officials say the change will save around $1 million and will hopefully attract more teachers and keep their current staff happy with the exchange of days for less pay.
