study finds obese gene

What if it didn't matter what was on the menu?

A new study by the University of Colorado School of Medicine has some remarkable findings about weight gain.

Researchers in Denver finished a two-year study on mice and perilipin. The gene could be linked to obesity. The study  consisted of removing the gene from mice, then feeding them fattening food.

According to doctors, the gene makes a protein that regulates fat storage cells and metabolism.
