Discovery Channel's "Homicide Hunter" to feature murdered Teller Co. deputy

TELLER COUNTY, Colo. - In its 7th season, Discovery Channel's "Homicide Hunter: Lt. Joe Kenda" is going to feature a Teller County deputy who was killed in 1995.

Deputy Brent Andrew Holloway was shot and killed on October 16 by an arson suspect who had earlier said he was going to kill a police officer.

That suspect set fire to a large home in Teller County. Holloway was at the home waiting for arson investigators when the suspect snuck up behind and shot Holloway in the head.

The suspect stole Holloway's weapon and used it to commit suicide two days later.

You will be able to watch the full story in Episode 9 on November 1 at 8 p.m. MST.

The Teller County Sheriff's Office is also holding a memorial service on October 16 at 9 a.m. for the 22nd anniversary of Holloway's death.
