2 people dead following Colorado home explosion

FIRESTONE, Colo. - Authorities have found two people dead in the rubble of a home that exploded and caught fire in northern Colorado.

Summer Campos, a spokeswoman for the Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District, says the bodies were found in the home's unfinished basement Tuesday and have been sent to the Weld County coroner's office. Their names have not been released.

The cause of Monday's explosion at the two-story home in Firestone, a community of about 10,000 people 30 miles (48 kilometers) north of Denver, is still under investigation. Two people were taken to the hospital in the immediate aftermath.
