Air Force Academy Class of 2017 Graduation: What you need to know

AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - The Class of 2017 will graduate from the United States Air Force Academy at 9:30 this morning.

Graduation tickets will be required for entry into the stadium. Ticket holders should plan to arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. due to increased security and heavy traffic. 

The North Gate, South Gate, and Falcon Stadium Gates will open at 7 a.m.

All parking is in the Falcon Stadium parking lots 1, 2, and 5.

Handicapped parking is available in lot 5, which is accessible via the north gate. A smaller handicapped parking area is available in lot 1, via the south gate.

Coolers, thermoses, backpacks, and strollers are not allowed in the stadium due to security concerns.

This year's speaker is Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Joseph F. Dunford, Jr.

The Thunderbirds will perform at around 12:30 p.m. Stopping along I-25 to watch the performance is illegal. 

The class of 2017 is comprised of 979 cadets. 77% are men and 23% are women. 356 of the graduates are minorities. This is the Academy's 59th graduating class.
