Car set on fire in possible domestic violence situation

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo - Colorado Springs police are investigating after someone set a car on fire in a gas station parking lot.

The fire was first reported Wednesday morning at the Kum and Go near the intersection of Hancock and Academy.

Officials said they got a call from a clerk around 2:30 a.m. The worker said a woman ran into the store and said a man had set fire to her car. When police arrived, both the victim and the man had left.

Firefighters were able to put the fire out quickly. No one was hurt.

Investigators believe that alcohol was poured over the car to start the fire.
