THORNTON, Colo. - Adams County Deputy Heath Gumm's funeral will be held at Flatirons Community Church locate at 355 W. South Boulder Road in Lafayette, Colo at around 11 a.m. Friday.
There will be rolling closures on Interstate 25 from 104th Avenue to Colorado Highway 7 in Adams County from around 8:45 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Adams County will conduct a full closure of CO 7 in both directions from 168th Avenue to 119th Street from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.Tolls will be waived on the North I-25 Express Lanes from 104th Avenue to 120th Avenue during the procession.
Gumm, who was 31, was shot and killed on January 24 while responding to a call in a residential area about 8 miles (13 kilometers) north of downtown Denver.
Police have arrested 22-year-old Dreion Martise Dearing, who faces charges of first-degree murder of a peace officer and second-degree burglary. A judge gave prosecutors until Wednesday to formally file charges.
Gumm was married and had worked for the sheriff's office since 2012.
His death came less than a month after 29-year-old Douglas County sheriff's Deputy Zackari Parrish was fatally shot in suburban Denver.
