25-year-old woman killed in Wednesday's wreck on Austin Bluffs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Colorado Springs Police Department identified the people involved in a fatal traffic accident Wednesday morning at Austin Bluffs Parkway and Rangewood Drive.

CSPD says 25-year-old Brianna Templeton of Lone Tree was killed when her car was struck by a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 19-year-old Morgan Deluna of Colorado Springs.

Police say Deluna ran a stop sign at the intersection and hit Templeton's Ford Fiesta, killing Templeton.

Deluna was treated for injuries, but was charged with one count of careless driving resulting in death and one count of running a stop sign. Police said she wasn't impaired or speeding. A mugshot wasn't made immediately available.

Colorado Springs Police responded to a fatal car accident near Austin Bluffs and Rangewood Wednesday morning.

A 19-year-old girl was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening conditions. Police said she was driving the white car when she ran through the stop sign and crashed into the black car.

A woman driving the black car died. Police have not given her identity yet.

The crash was near Austin Bluffs and Rangewood between Research and Briargate Pkwy.

CSPD briefed the media at the YMCA parking lot. Police said Wednesday's fatal crash was the city's 10th fatality of 2018.

No alcohol or drugs are suspected. Anyone with information in regards to this crash can call 719-444-7000.
