COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A man has been found guilty of first-degree murder and other charges in connection to a June 2015 murder at a Colorado Springs apartment complex.
Jonathan Nelson, 27, was identified as one of two suspects in the June 3, 2015, stabbing death of Ashley Melnyczok, 27.
Melnyczok's body was found at the Grand River Canyon Apartments in the 7600 block of Matt Point, near I-25 and N. Academy Boulevard. Nelson was arrested following a brief chase that started at the same complex.
Nelson was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Police identified the other suspect in this case as Joseph Kimsey.
