Suspected drunk driver's mugshot released in crash that killed Falcon High School student

Man facing vehicular homicide charges after deadly crash on Woodmen

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The El Paso County Sheriff's Office has released the mugshot of a man who is suspected of driving drunk and crashing into a Falcon High School student, killing him. 

The crash happened just before 7 p.m. Friday on Woodmen Road.

State Patrol says Michael Fay, 52, was driving eastbound on Woodmen when he went to make a left turn onto Golden Sage Road. Investigators say Fay turned in front of a sedan being driven by Michael Finley, 18.

State Patrol says it suspects Fay had been drinking. He faces a vehicular homicide charge. 

Finley died at the scene. Fay only had minor injuries. He will be charged with vehicular homicide-DUI, DUI, and failure to display proof of insurance.
