COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -
Mother Nature did not stop the Thunderbirds from flying, today.
Crowds gathered at the Pikes Peak Regional Airshow Especially to see the exciting main event, The Thunderbirds.
Attendees were worried about the dark clouds overhead. The day looked similar to the day before when the Thunderbirds show had to be cancelled due to weather. Some were even leaving the show well before the Thunderbirds were scheduled to perform.
However, most of the fans waited for the skies to clear up hoping the show would not be cancelled for a second day in a row. Shortly before 3:00 p.m. the announcement was made, the show would go on.
Spectators watched as the Thunderbirds performed incredible acrobatics and maneuvers with inches separating them. Fans say it made up for Saturday and was definitely worth the wait.
