Midway Ranch tire fire is completely out

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. - The Midway Ranch tire fire that has been burning for almost a week has been completely put out.

El Paso County confirmed Thursday, that the fire that burned 100,000 tires is out and crews are monitoring the area for any potential hot spots or flare-ups.

The Environmental Protection Agency will inspect nearby homes with residents. David Rose with El Paso County expects EPA to allow residents to go home as soon as today.
