He's a Colorado kid who was being recruited by the likes of North Carolina State, South Carolina, TCU and Ole Miss. Originally, he verbally committed to Arkansas but after their coach was fired. He went with his second choice and the team that's in his heart and now he's going to be a CU Buff.
When CU made an offer to the quarterback from Monument and chance to play football for the Buffs, his family was by his side for the monumental moment, "We were standing in a commons area and Coach MacIntyre offered me and I made eye contact with my mom and we started tearing up and that will be a moment for me until the day I die that's just how we feel about CU football," says Ty Evans.
Sounds like CU football is in your blood and your family played a big role in your decision? "Absolutely I was seven years old or six years old going into a little kids camp and we used to be able to play Buff ball and Folsom field and I was walking out telling my Dad I want to be a Colorado Buffalo," says Evans.
Evans is so eager to get to Boulder that he plans to graduate from Palmer Ridge next December, "Actually today next year will be my classes at CU so that's crazy to think about," says Evans.
What's not crazy for Evans to think about his future goals, "I just really see myself being able to be a guy that takes them to the next level and I want to be the guy that helps them win Pac-12 championships," says The CU quarterback recruit.
