WAG! A pet-friendly app

Wag! A paw-friendly app

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Most furry buddies are left home alone during work or school hours often bored and getting in trouble. Now, an app called WAG! is coming to the rescue.

Cassandra Roten is a dog walker and explains how it works, "The app is a dog walking app and it's for owners who don't have enough time to spend with their dogs. It's important to have in our community because it really provides a cushion for dog owners that want their dogs to be active."

The user friendly app allows pet owners to pick from a list of services.
"You're able to get an on-demand walk which is our most popular feature. We also provide on demand boarding and sitting, whether the dog can come stay at your house or you go to their house to watch their dog," says Cassandra.

Tyler is becoming an avid user of WAG! He says his dog Tuki has gone on many successful walks.

"My schedule sometimes is a little bit hectic. I don't always know when I'm going to show up home so it's kind of Uber for dogs and it really allows me a tremendous amount of flexibility and a walker will usually confirm within 15 to 20 minutes."

The app has a Live GPS that tracks your dog's activity. "They always take a photo of the dog and give you a little report card."

Walkers also know ahead of time who the dog is, "They provide a photo of their dog and some notes for you ahead of time that way you know kind of what you're getting into with these puppies."

It might be a little unnerving handing over your leash to a complete stranger but WAG! Walkers go through a rigorous background check before taking our your furry buddy out on the streets.

"You have to take an emergency test for the clients to know that you know what to do in case of a first aid emergency. Then there are also different tests such as all the different harnesses, leashes, and collars."

From overnight sitting to long walks through the park—"It's a great app!" A happier dog is now just a phone click away.

Still not convinced? WAG! is also feeding shelter dogs with each walk request.
