One minor injury reported in crash involving district 2 school bus

One minor injury reported in crash...

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run crash involving a school bus Friday morning.

One student was taken to the hospital with a minor injury.

The investigation is happening at the intersection of Jet Wing Drive and Colony Hills Circle, which is near Jet Wing and Academy.

Police say the bus was stopped to pick up students when a driver pulled up from behind. The driver stopped for a moment, then decided to pass around the bus even though it had its stop sign out and its lights flashing. The truck swiped the bus, breaking the front left light and damaging the front of the bus.

The bus was carrying 16 Carmel Middle School students. A second bus came to pick up the uninjured students and take them to school.
