Semi traveling SB drives into oncoming I-25 traffic near GOG exit, 4 hospitalized

COLORADO SPRINGS - A crash involving a semi truck sent four to the hospital and caused major traffic backups along I-25 on Tuesday afternoon. 

According to CDOT, the semi was traveling south on I-25 when it crossed into the northbound lanes near the Garden of the Gods exit and hit a vehicle. 

One of the people taken to the hospital is in critical condition. 

The crash happened at around 3 p.m. and caused a minor oil spill. 

It had all lanes of northbound I-25 blocked as well as some of the lanes on the southbound side for a couple of hours. 

 

 

By 5 p.m., all lanes of southbound Interstate 25 were reopened. 

It was closer to 6 p.m. until all lanes of northbound I-25 were cleared.
