Victim identified in Penrose homicide, sheriff's office investigating

FREMONT COUNTY, Colo. - We now know that the suspicious death found by the Fremont County Sheriff's Office Tuesday is being investigated as a homicide.

The sheriff's office identified 57-year-old John Allen Alderman as the victim in the investigation, but we don't yet know how he died.

Alderman was found dead in a Penrose home, prompting the investigation. The sheriff's office hasn't released any other information, and we don't know if they have any information about a suspect.

Fremont County deputies say a suspicious death found Tuesday is being investigated in Penrose.

According to a news release sent out, deputies arrived on the scene and confirmed there was a dead body. Fremont County investigators were then called to help with the case.
