Crews fight wildfire in Routt County

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. - Crews in Routt County are trying to get the upper hand on the Deep Creek Fire.

As of Wednesday night, a type two incident command team is in full control, giving crews more resourced to fight the fire.

The fire is northwest of Steamboat Springs. It has burned 2,287 acres. Containment is holding at zero percent.

Investigators say this fire was started by a lightning strike.
