Several homes in Woodland Park had to be evacuated on Friday night as authorities assessed what to do with a possible explosive device.
The Great American Eclipse is fast approaching, and many are making last-minute preparations.
We're carefully tracking the forecast for the total solar eclipse on Monday. Southern Colorado will experience the maximum eclipse at 11:47 a.m. Remember, this only lasts for a matter of minutes. Right now, we expect lots of high clouds at roughly 20,000 feet. This could obstruct the view of the eclipse. Even if we can't see the moon passing the sun, we will still see the sky darken, making it a memorable experience.
The Pikes Peak Ascent and Marathon is happening in Manitou Springs this weekend, so expect to experience traffic and parking troubles in that area.
