The St. Louis Cardinals optioned second baseman Kolten Wong and right fielder Shane Robinson to Triple-A Memphis on Monday and brought up outfielder Randal Grichuk and infielder Greg Garcia.

Wong is batting .225 with five RBIs in 71 at-bats and Robinson is off to a 1-for-20 start in 16 games.

Wong batted .375 in spring training but struggled once the regular season started. He recently lost starts to a healthy Mark Ellis. Robinson was the Cardinals' fifth outfielder.

Grichuk, who can play any of the three outfield spots, has a batting line of .313/.356/.542 with 12 extra-base hits and 17 RBIs over 20 games with Memphis.

Garcia, a second baseman and shortstop, leads Memphis with five home runs and has a batting line of .277/.362/.544.
