San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews did not participate in practice on Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's playoff game against the Denver Broncos because of a sprained ankle.
Mathews did not play in the second half of last weekend's victory over the Cincinnati Bengals because of the injury and has not practiced at all this week.
A source told U-T San Diego's Michael Gelken that "the plan" is for Mathews to play on Sunday.
Mathews rushed for 1,255 yards during the 2013 season, and had 61 yards on the ground in his one half of action against the Bengals.
Danny Woodhead and Ronnie Brown would be the Chargers primary running backs if Mathews is unable to play.
