Friend of Lakers' Hill totals his Bentley
Lacey arrested on suspicion of DUI
A man who allegedly crashed Los Angeles Lakers forward Jordan Hill's Bentley into the player's Marina Del Ray, Calif., condominium complex early Saturday morning was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, according to a report from the Los Angeles Times.
Michael Lacey, 26, allegedly crashed the car into the complex around 2 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to authorities, the wrecked vehicle was unattended and Lacey was found inside Hill's condominium. Hill was also home at the time.
Los Angeles TV station KCAL-9 reported that the two men went to high school together.
A dispatcher told the Times that Lacey "displayed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication while speaking with the officers" and was arrested.
Lacey and a female passenger were treated for minor injuries and no one else was hurt or involved in the crash, the dispatcher said.
The 2012 Bentley, which has a Kelley Blue Book value of around $200,000, was totaled in the wreck, police said.
