The IndyCar Series rescinded a $10,000 fine and probation for the remainder of the season levied against Sebastien Bourdais for unsafe driving during a race at Texas Motor Speedway earlier this month.

The penalties for violating Rule 9.3.1 in the Verizon IndyCar Series rulebook were withdrawn after an internal review. IndyCar did not offer a reason for the reversal.

Bourdais and Justin Wilson crashed on Lap 121 of the Firestone 600. Afterward, Bourdais said he tried to keep Wilson from passing him before the wreck occurred.

Bourdais finished 20th and Wilson 21st in the 22-car field. Ed Carpenter won the June 7 race.
