Carolina Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith participated in Friday's practice on only a limited basis and he was listed as questionable for this weekend's playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers because of a sprained knee.
He was able to run just five pass patterns during Friday's walkthrough, as trainers held him out of further participation because of the rain.
Smith said there was an "89 percent" chance he will play, according to NFL.com.
Panthers coach Ron Rivera is optimistic that Smith will play.
"My gut is he will play," Rivera said. "Until we shut him down with the rain, he was moving around well."
Smith had 64 receptions for 745 yards while playing in 15 games this season.
