Arkansas 31, Samford 21: Alex Collins was unstoppable in the third and fourth quarters allowing the host Razorbacks to hold off upset-minded Samford in a non-conference game.Trailing 21-17, Collins carried six times for 41 yards on the 14-play, 75-yard drive, and Jonathan Williams capped it with a 1-yard touchdown to give the Razorbacks a 24-21 advantage. Collins then unleashed a 55-yard run to set up his own score to increase the Arkansas lead to 10 points.Collins finished with 24 carries for 172 yards for Arkansas (2-0), which took an early lead behind a pair of touchdown passes from Brandon Allen. The sophomore, who was 9-of-17 for 125 yards, hit Mitchell Loewen from 24 yards out and Javontee Herndon from 7 yards to make it 14-0 in the first.Fabian Truss scored one touchdown and gained 103 yards on the ground, and Kelsey Pope ran for a score for the Bulldogs (1-1), who were looking to knock off their second straight FBS team. Andy Summerlin was 19-of-28 for 117 yards and threw a short touchdown pass to Zeke Walters.Pope's touchdown made it 14-7 before Arkansas' Zach Hocker hit a career-long 53-yard field goal to push the lead to 17-7.
