St. Louis Rams running back Isaiah Pead was assisted off the field and carted to the locker room after he fell untouched on a kickoff return during Saturday's exhibition game against the Green Bay Packers.

Pead made a 33-yard return down the sideline when he hit the ground. The non-contact injury appeared to occur when he planted on his left foot.

Pead plays behind fellow running backs Zac Stacy, Tre Mason and Benny Cunningham but was expected to make the team as a special teamer.

In two seasons, Pead has 17 rushes for 75 yards, 14 catches and 15 kick returns.
