The New York Rangers and left winger Mats Zuccarello avoided an arbitration hearing, agreeing on a one-year, $3.5 million contract on Tuesday.

Zuccarello led the Rangers in points last season with 59, including 19 goals.

In the postseason, the 26-year-old added five goals and eight assists.

Unless they come to an agreement in the meantime, Rangers have arbitration hearings scheduled with forward Chris Kreider on Wednesday and Derick Brassard the following Monday.
