Reports: Packers to sign Graham, cut Jordy Nelson

Green Bay moving on from longest-tenured WR

The Green Bay Packers are reportedly on the verge of signing tight end Jimmy Graham while also cutting wide receiver Jordy Nelson.

Multiple sources reported the Packers are planning to sign Graham to a three-year deal.

The reports include ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Meanwhile, Schefter reported that a source told him the team would be releasing Nelson, the team's longest-tenured receiver.

Nelson, 32, signed a four-year, $39 million contract extension in 2014, but lost the 2015 season to an ACL tear suffered that preseason. He recovered to earn NFL Comeback Player of the Year after leading the league with 14 touchdown receptions in 2016, but struggled again in 2017, managing just 53 receptions for 483 yards and six touchdowns.
