LIVE BLOG: Severe weather impacting southern Colorado

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for most of eastern Colorado until 8 p.m. Monday.

The watch includes Denver, Castle Rock, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Cañon City, Woodland Park, Trinidad, and La Junta. 

Severe storms can occur with little warning and may produce wind gusts up to 70 mph and large hail. Isolated tornadoes are also possible.

In addition, heavy rainfall may produce flash flooding in urban areas and over burn scars.



8:30 p.m.- All of the warnings have been lifted

7:49 p.m.- Severe Thunderstorm Warning for La Junta CO, Rocky Ford CO, Swink CO until 8:15 p.m.

7:15 p.m.- Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Villegreen until 7:45 p.m.

5:44 p.m.- Severe Thunderstorm Warning continues for Fowler, Manzanola, and Olney Springs until 6 p.m.

5:19 p.m.: All Severe Thunderstorm Warnings have expired. 

4:26 p.m.- Severe Thunderstorm Warning including Fowler, Ordway, Manzanola until 5:15 p.m.

4:22 p.m.- Severe Thunderstorm Warning continues for Pueblo West, Stone City, and Beulah until 5 p.m.

4:15 p.m.- Severe thunderstorm warning including Timpas until 5:15 p.m. 

4 p.m.- Severe thunderstorm warning expanded for Pueblo West, Colorado City, and Rye until 5 p.m. Severe thunderstorm warning continues for Delhi until 4:15 p.m.

3:55 p.m. - Severe thunderstorm watch for Adams, Arapahoe, Bent, Boulder, Broomfield, Cheyenne, Crowley, Denver, Douglas, Elbert, El Paso, Fremont, Huerfano, Jefferson, Kowa, Kit Carson, Las Animas, Lincoln, Logan, Morgan, Otero, Phillips, Pueblo, Sedgwick, Teller, Washington, Weld and Yuman counties until 8 p.m.

3:37 p.m. - Severe thunderstorm warning issued for eastern Pueblo and western Otero counties until 4:30 p.m. 

3:24 p.m. - Severe thunderstorm warning expanded to include all of western Pueblo County, including Colorado City, Beulah, Pueblo West. Set to expire at 4 p.m. 

3:22 p.m. - The tornado warning that was issued for Elbert County has expired. 

3:02 p.m. - Tornado warning issued for north-central Elbert County and southeastern Arapahoe County until 3:30 p.m. A funnel cloud was reported 10 miles northwest of Simla at 2:58 p.m. 

2:48 p.m. - The tornado warning for Huerfano, Pueblo, and Custer counties has expired. A severe thunderstorm warning is now in effect for southwestern Pueblo County, including Beulah, until 3:30 p.m.

2:46 p.m. - The severe thunderstorm warning for central Las Animas County has been extended until 3:45 p.m. 

2:22 p.m. - Tornado warning issued for north central HUERFANO County, southeastern CUSTER county, and southwestern PUEBLO county until 2:45 p.m. At 2:20 p.m., a thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Greenhorn Mountain. It is moving north at 15 mph.

2:07 p.m. : Severe thunderstorm warning issued for central Las Animas County until 2:45 p.m. Warning includes Tyrone, Model, and Thatcher.
