ALERT: Winter storm warning issued for Palmer Divide, Teller County

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Heavy snow is expected to develop in the higher elevations north and west of Colorado Springs Tuesday night. 

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the following areas beginning at 6 p.m. and lasting through noon Wednesday.

- Northern El Paso County
- Teller County
- The high elevations of Fremont County
- Custer County
- Huerfano County
- Western Las Animas County
- The Wet and Sangre de Cristo Mountains 

Several inches of snow will be possible during this timeframe, and it may be blown around by gusty winds.
