City temporarily closes two Colorado Springs cemeteries to clean up wind damage

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The City of Colorado Springs says Evergreen Cemetery and Fairview Cemetery sustained serious damage during this week's wind storms.

Both cemeteries are closed to visitors until further notice. Services will be conducted as scheduled.

Evergreen is located in the 1000 block of S. Hancock Expressway and Fairview is located in the 1000 block of S. 26th Street.

Winds gusting between 80 mph and 100 mph blew through Colorado Springs Monday and Tuesday night bringing down trees and power lines across the city.
