Colorado's wild weather swings from record highs to snow

Noon snow coverage - 2/23/17

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - From spring fever to cabin fever, the weather in Colorado is never boring.

Earlier this week, record high temperatures fell under beautiful blue skies as temperatures soared into the 70s.

Thursday morning, the snow moved in. Big, wet flakes brought much-needed moisture to the Pikes Peak Region, but it also impacted traffic.

Snow covered Highway 24 between Manitou Springs and Woodland Park where slide-offs were reported.

Traffic issues were also reported on I-25 over Monument Hill.

The Colorado Springs Police Department went on accident alert because of the snow.
