TODAY: A cold front will be pushing through the area very early this morning which will allow for some isolated showers and gusty winds to near 50. Isolated higher gusts are possible on the eastern plains. Things start to calm some into the afternoon, so a wind alert level 1 will be in place (gusts 30-40 mph). Red flag warnings have been issued for Colorado Springs, Pueblo and the eastern plains from 9am until 7pm. Please exercise fire precautions. Highs will be cooler behind the front and will range from the 40s to 50s.
TONIGHT: We will be mostly clear to partly cloudy tonight and lows cool into the 20s and 30s. Some places in high high country and low lying areas could dip into the teens for a time.
EXTENDED: We will be mild and dry over the next couple of days with a good bit of sunshine. Our next system moves in on Friday afternoon and evening, which could bring the area a round of spring snow. Right now it is still a bit early for specifics, but we will keep you updated in the coming days. We have a brief period of dry skies on Saturday before a few more rain and snow showers move in for Sunday.
