Breckenridge extends ski, snowboard season to late May

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. - Breckenridge Ski Resort has announced it will extend its 2018-2019 ski and snowboard season into late May, more than a month longer than normal. 

This is the first time the since the mid-'90s that the resort has extended to this point. 

The resort originally announced its closing date for the season would be on Sunday, April 21, but now plans to remain open through Memorial Day, Monday, May 27. The resort said this is as long as weather and conditions permit. 

According to a press release shared to their official Facebook, Breckenridge resort is also planning to extend future winter seasons through Memorial Day as well. That is if the weather and other conditions permit.
