Colorado Springs police release photo of suspect in homicide on S. Circle

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A picture of the suspect involved in a deadly shooting of a 17-year-old early Saturday morning has been released by the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Edwin Figueroa, 26, is sought in the death investigation near the 400 block of South Circle Drive. He faces a charge of first-degree murder and should be considered "armed and dangerous," according to CSPD.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man with a gunshot wound in the parking lot of the business. He was transported to the hospital and later died of his injuries. 

Monday, police identified the victim as 17-year-old Ervey Enriquez.

It's still not clear what led to the shooting.

Police in Colorado Springs are investigating two overnight shootings.

The first occurred around  1 a.m outside Club La Casota, which is located at the intersection of Circle Drive and Airport Road, by the Valley Hi Golf Course.

When police arrived, they found a man with apparent gunshot wounds. The man was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Colorado Springs police are investigating the death as a homicide.

The other shooting occurred at the Elevate Apartment complex at 340 Crestone Lane in Colorado Springs. A police officer was involved in the shooting, which resulted in the death of one man. 

According to a press release, officers made contact with the suspect who was in a stolen vehicle at the Elevate Apartments. When they tried to make contact with the man, he began struggling with officers, resulting in bullets being fired.

The man was said to have died from his injuries. No officers were injured in the shooting. The identity of the man has not been released at this time. The Coroner's Office is expected to release this information soon.  

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is conducting an investigation of the shooting. It said there is no danger to the public.
