25-yr-old arrested for fatal hit-and-run in COS

COLORADO SPRINGS - A 25-year-old has been arrested for the fatal hit-and-run that took place off of N. Academy Boulevard at the beginning of December.

Joshua Seth Larsen was taken into custody on Thursday in connection with the death of 52-year-old Jeffrey Jacobs on December 4.

Jacobs was attempting to walk across Academy Boulevard just before 8 p.m. when Larsen allegedly hit him with his dark gray Ford Escape and then fled the scene. Police believe Larsen didn't have his headlights on at the time of the incident.

Investigators were able to tie Larsen to the hit-and-run through the help of witnesses.

He is facing charges of Hit and Run Involving Death, Driving While License Under Restraint, and Driving Without Headlights.

Larsen is currently being held at the El Paso County Criminal Justice System.

The investigation is ongoing.
