Colorado Springs Police investigate 2 overnight shootings

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs Police are investigating two separate shootings.

The first happened early Sunday morning around 3 a.m. on the 3100 block of East Dale Street.

CSPD received information of shots fired in a parking lot there.

When police got there, two 17-year-olds -- one female, one male -- had already been taken to the hospital by friends. Both are being treated for gunshot wounds and are expected to survive.

The other shooting happened just a few hours later around 6 a.m. on the 2500 block of Verde Drive.

When officers got to the location, they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital and is currently in critical condition.

Police say the shooting was a result of an earlier disagreement between the parties involved.

At this time, investigators do not believe the two shootings are related.

We will pass along more details when we receive them.
