WATCH Serious accident sends one to...

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs Police and firefighters are responding to a serious crash on the east side of town.

Crews were called to Powers Blvd., just north of Platte Ave., around 2:15 a.m. Thursday. Colorado Springs Police tell us that a pickup truck crashed into a street sweeper.

The driver of the street sweeper was not hurt, but the driver of the pickup is in the hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries. Drugs, alcohol and speed are considered factors in this crash.

Northbound and Southbound lanes of Powers were shut down at the time, but now both lanes are back open.

We will continue to keep you updated with any further information.
