CSP identifies woman killed in crash near Pueblo West

PUEBLO, Colo. - The Colorado State Patrol says a 69-year-old woman was killed after a crash that happened Wednesday in northwest Pueblo.

Officials say Betty Stockman of Pueblo West was traveling south on Highway 45 and tried to turn onto Spaulding Ave shortly after 12:30 p.m. (MAP)

A Chevrolet pickup truck was going north when Stockman started her turn, and the pickup truck ended up hitting Stockman's sedan.

Both cars were pushed north and rotated before stopping.

Stockman was wearing her seat belt but died at the scene. The 35-year-old driver of the Chevrolet was taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

CSP says alcohol or drug use aren't suspected as factors at this time.
