FREMONT COUNTY, Colo. - A man is reported missing following a rafting accident two weeks ago in Fremont County.

A caller into Fremont County Sheriff's Office said they were watching from a distance on June 28 when a personal raft flipped over on the Arkansas River near Sunshine Falls.

They said all but one person made it to shore.

Fremont County deputies and other emergency personnel responded to the scene that day, but never found a victim, and no one else called to report an accident.

In Florida, Eric Ashby's sister, Lisa Albritton was checking up on her brother on social media.

"I was just trying to tell my little brother that I loved him. I knew something wasn't right when I looked to see when his last post was," Albritton said.

The last post on his social media was dated June 28, the day of the rafting accident.

Albritton contacted Ashby's friends on social media and they told her he had been missing since June 28.

The Fremont County Sheriff's Office said family reported Ashby missing on July 8, and said Ashby was the one who went missing in the rafting accident.

"He went out looking for that treasure but he wasn't careless. He always notified someone to let them know what he was doing, so this is a surprise to me," Albritton said.

Albritton has started a GoFundMe page to help her get to Colorado to help search for Ashby.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Jenkins at the Fremont County Sheriff's Office at 719-276-5556
