Hijacked plane crashes near Seattle

Commuter jet taken from SEA-TAC airport

PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. -

Planes were grounded Friday night due to a security scare at SEA-TAC airport, according to Alaska Airlines.

A source tells our sister station KOMO in Seattle that the incident involved a stolen plane, which two F-15's tried to intercept.

The hijacker appears to have deliberately crashed the jet upon encountering the military jets.

We're working to confirm reports that that person may have been an airport employee.
