Pueblo detectives seek suspect in attempted armed robbery at Dollar Tree

PUEBLO, Colo. - Detectives are asking for the public's help in locating 26-year-old Stefan Arellano, who is suspected of an attempted armed robbery at a Dollar Tree in Pueblo, according to a release from the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office.

Arellano is about six feet tall and 145 pounds, with long black hair and brown eyes.

On Wednesday, August 28 deputies responded to the Dollar Tree at 1024 North Market Plaza after employees reported a man with a red bandana covering his face threatened them with a knife and demanded money.

The employees refused to give the suspect any money and he left the store. He was last seen leaving the area in a white truck with a white topper on the back.

Sheriff's Detectives and Pueblo Police Detectives located the suspect vehicle at a residence on the East Side in Pueblo. Detectives obtained and executed a search warrant on the vehicle. Detectives found evidence related to the attempted armed robbery.

According to the release, Arellano also may be connected to at least two armed robberies in Pueblo.

Anyone with information on Arellano's whereabouts is asked to call the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office at (719) 583-6250 or to remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers at (719) 542-7867.
