Pueblo man accused of running over grandmother

PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. - The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office is looking for an 18-year-old who allegedly stole a pickup truck from his grandmother and then ran her over.

It happened Thursday morning in the 1400 block of 27th Lane (MAP). The sheriff's office says Fabian Quintana was trying to steal the pickup truck from his grandmother when she attempted to remove the keys.

That's when Quintana put the truck in reverse, which knocked his grandmother to the ground. He then accelerated forward and ran her over, causing "serious injuries." She was taken to the hospital, but her condition isn't known.

Deputies caught up with Quintana and tried to pull him over in Pueblo, but he crashed and then backed up toward the deputy before speeding away, the sheriff's office said.

Quintana is wanted for three class-five felonies, including vehicular assault, vehicular eluding, and aggravated motor vehicle theft.
