Man arrested in Teller Co. hash oil bust

TELLER CO., Colo. - Deputies in Teller County make a major hash oil bust.

On Friday deputies received information about a possible illegal marijuana grow operation in the Indian Creek subdivision near Florissant. When they arrived at the house they noticed large totes of processed marijuana on the back porch in plain view.

When deputies obtained a search warrant Andy Wilson, 32, eventually answered the door was was detained while the property was searched.

Agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Teller County Narcotics Team helped with the warrant. They discovered a functioning butane hash oil lab as well as multiple cans of butane. The team also found more than 100 pounds of "shake", which is used for manufacturing hash oil, and two pounds of "shatter", which is worth around $73,000.

Wilson was booked into the Teller County Jail for several felony offenses. His bond was set at $50,000.

The Teller County Sheriff's Office says more arrests are possible as the investigation continues to unfold.
