RV driver arrested in connection with Colorado Springs crash

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs Police arrest a man who's accused of hitting a motorcyclist with his RV.

Brian Abeyta, 39, faces charges of leaving the scene of an accident involving serious bodily injuries, as well as failing to report an accident.

On April 8, Springs Police responded to a crash at the intersection of E. Fillmore St. and N. Cascade Ave. When officers arrived, they found the RV involved in the collision had fled the scene. It was later found a few blocks away, abandoned. Investigators determined the RV turned in front of a motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. At this time it's unclear when they were released.
