Two men arrested in connection to Friday's fatal shooting in east Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - UPDATE: Police have arrested two suspects that could have been involved in Friday's shooting on Geiger Court in which one man was killed and three others hospitalized. 

The victim, 28-year-old Brandon Coffin from Peyton, Colorado, was killed in the incident. 

Court records show Tony Ray Lawson, 49, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of first-degree murder and assault. He currently remains in the El Paso County jail without bond.  Zachary Michael Lawson, 18, was also arrested on suspicion of felony menacing with a real or simulated weapon. Zachary is said to have bonded out of jail. 

Mr. Coffin's death is the 36th homicide investigated by the Colorado Springs Police Department in 2018.

Police are investigating a shooting in east Colorado Springs that left one man dead and at least three others injured.
  
The shooting was reported at about 11 p.m. Friday by the intersection of Platte Avenue and Powers Boulevard. When police arrived at 700 Block of Geiger Court, officers say they found four victims in a parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds.
  
All of them were taken to local hospitals. Two men and one juvenile were in serious condition. One man died of his injuries.
  
Police say the death is being investigated as a homicide.
